Charismatic Mars Violet

I might not have expected a Mars pigment to be so beautifully versatile as Genzäh’s Mars Violet. Beautiful washes, subtleties of red- violet bridge earthy and more luminescent characteristics of the flow in painting. I turn to this color so often to bail me out of some
corner I’ve backed myself into while working. Always a stunning result that brings dimension and transparency back. I also have found that by dropping gold or other colors into a wet wash of Mars Violet creates astonishing color innovation. I greatly appreciate working with Genzäh paints. Thank you Ryan and all who make this possible!

Super pigmented, excellent re-wetting, gorgeous application! Better than W&N cotman/professional. On par with Sennelier/Horadam Schmincke.
