Beautiful versatility

It has taken me a bit of time to write this review as I haven’t wanted to stop painting especially with my newest acquisition Embers. I did not expect the versatility and depth this color has provided. I recently used it in a very controlled way for botanical painting of an almost black parrot tulip. It brought in light and shimmers beautifully at the edges of petals. I also used it to help depict water droplets and it was perfect. Also did a looser watercolor of a humming bird with a red head. The use of Embers added to the sensation of movement as if it were a real bird in flight as opposed to something flat on paper. Also added it into a recent line and wash drawing of an Irish Castle. Slightly diluted it helped with cast shadows and added to the twilight time of day I was attempting to achieve. You won’t be disappointed. This is a must have!
